the season. Do you have the eye for detail and the determination to deliver a
first class payroll service to our employees, it’s certainly an exciting and
challenging time as we transition to an outsourced payroll and implement a time
and attendance system.
About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll work closely with Finance, HR team, UK Central Payroll, ADP and the operational administrators to drive the recent implementation of an outsourced Merlin Group payroll. You will coordinate the entire payroll process, from HR system input verification through to postings and reconciliations within Finance to dispute resolution. You will be instrumental in helping us shape our payroll processes whilst we bed in the new system and look forward to further exciting projects in the c! oming months, including implementation of a Time & Attendance ! system and Pensions Auto Enrolment. The role will support the delivery of all payroll reporting requirements and information to aid local Management decision making. Along with verifying all payroll calculations and ensuring the integrity of our records, you will be liaising with the Financial Accountant on various aspects of the Balance Sheet, making sure full and clean reconciliations are maintained. In addition to this, you’ll work hard to develop your skills and will work closely with other members of the Finance and HR teams to establish and deliver best practice on all aspects of payroll to benefit the longer term strategy of the Resort.
We are anticipating that this role will be approximately 25 hours per week, but flexibility would be required as the needs of the project dictate but especially around payroll processing each month.
About you
Experienced within all aspects of Payroll and fully up to speed with UK employment legislation, yo! u'll have proven success in adding real commercial value to a business. Experience in the leisure and hospitality industry is desirable, but not essential, but you must have demonstrable knowledge of general payroll and accounting principles and industry best practice. Highly numerate with a strong eye for detail and confident extracting and manipulating data using various software programmes, you’ll also be an excellent communicator. This role requires the post holder to think proactively, relishing the challenges that arise and striving for continual improvement.
