Cats Protection is currently seeking a professional fundraiser to work throughout a number of different shopping venues as well as at shows and exhibitions, to help raise vital funds for the charity that will contribute to the £500,000 that the charity needs to raise every week in order to continue its valuable work.

The successful candidate will for the majority of time work alone as a fundraiser, travelling between different venues and shows up to a 60 mile radius from Staines-upon-Thames, and therefore to towns and cities including High Wycombe, Reading, Basingstoke, Guildford and Crawley.

Equipped with a display stand to help create a professional image and presence, the successful candidate will engage in conversation with members of the public, int! erested to hear about the work of Cats Protection, and will as! k each person whether they would like to support the charity by making a regular donation on a monthly basis, setting up a direct debit for those that are interested in doing so.

This fundraiser role is not a hard selling role, but a role all about conversation and personality. The successful candidate will:
  • Be able to demonstrate confidence.
  • Have an extrovert personality and find it easy to engage in conversation.
  • Be self motivated and target driven.
  • Have worked in a previous face-to-face fundraising or sales environment.
  • Have an innate passion for cats and kittens.
The successful candidate will work on a self-employed basis although this is not a commission only role, and can work on either a full time or part time basis. A flat fee of £58.00, the equivalent of approximately £7.25 per hour is paid for each day worked; together with a handsome bonus for achieving the minimum performance level toget! her with further bonuses for over-achievement. Realistic earning expectations for all fundraisers are between £15,000 and £25,000 per annum, with top performing fundraisers earning up to £30,000. Full travel expenses are also reimbursed.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 14th August.

Interviews will be held in Staines week commencing the 19th August, starting in the role on Monday 9th September.

The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a car and full driving licence.
