Role Summary The Cisco Service Provider Video Technology Group [SPVTG! ] is looking for a talented technologist, marketer or strategi! st to be responsible for certain areas of strategy for the SPVTG digital television and video business as it grows and moves forward over the next one to three years. They will be required to evaluate technologies, new business opportunities, market size, competitors & industry structures and create recommendations for all groups in the company, identifying execution risk, skills, technology, buy, build, and license options. They will also define new use cases and offers with the objectives of product differentiation & creation of proof of concepts with CTO group and Business Units. Based in Staines UK, the job will include travel to Cisco facilities in the US, UK, Israel, France, India, to customers and external events. Primary Responsibilities • Collection and analysis information on technologies, new functionalities and new business ideas and write reports and presentations on those selected areas. • Writing of c! lear business plans and uses cases for new business or technology ventures. • Refinement of the SPVTG mission and development of strategic business goals for growth and differentiation. • Partnering with R&D Business Unit groups, CTO group, other Cisco groups and third parties to identify opportunities and proof of concept projects. Profile Requirements The successful candidate will: • Have a strong technology background and degree education. • At least 5 yrs. experience in areas such as tech marketing, tech strategy, business development, product definition, product management or R&D. • Experience of end to end video & software solutions, Elastic Cloud and Cloud Video technologies, API Strategy, IPTV, satellite, cable, video, digital broadcast, broadband service provides, CE manufacturers, semiconductor manufacturers and independent software vendors. • Ideally having broad global experience with custo! mers, research & development groups, strategy groups & technology partn! ers. • Have strong analytical capabilities & ability to present complex scenarios to a senior level audience. • Have creativity with a strong technology background and understanding of IP Video Markets. • Must be comfortable with ambiguities of new markets & new technologies. • Able to influence & drive new initiatives both internally & externally • Be experience in product management or strategic marketing with significant knowledge of solutions marketing, product planning, and business development combined with a business and commercial awareness and credibility. • Have marketing, business administration degree, software engineering degree or a related subject and / or equivalent work experience • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to concisely communicate key strategies and plans with confidence and credibility. • Be highly motivated, creative, entrepreneurial, and able to w! ork independently. • Have the ability to confidently drive initiatives and key projects. • Be successful and cofortable working in international, trans-cultural team environment. • Have a willingness to travel - .
