As a Scrum Master your primary focus will be to support the teams that deliver software in an Agile deliver! y environment. This role is a key member within the Scrum teams and you will ensure the smooth running of the teams ceremonies. As a Scrum Master you will have the following roles and responsibilities; • You will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with the business product owner and other business users to ensure clear requirements and good business engagement. • You will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to the team(s) on a daily basis, generally resolving issues and removing impediments that prevent the team from fulfilling their work. • You will promote and share best practice Agile techniques amongst the team and with other Scrum Masters and be accountable for ensuring that Agile and Scrum concepts are adhered to and be able to enforce these as a voice of reason The candidate will have a proven track record of delivery using Scrum with an extensive record of successful Agile! project deliveries and experience across Workshop Facilitatio! n, Structured Problem Solving, Coaching, Mentoring and active involvement in the Agile community. They will have experience of working with XP techniques in a Scrum environment and experience of working and coaching developers using TDD. You will be an advocate of pair programming and hold an excellent understanding of other successful techniques that can be used such as planning poker, story mapping, feature injection etc. The Scrum Master will have an understanding of the standard reporting mechanisms in Scrum and how they are used to track progress, e.g. burn down / burn up charts, velocity and cycle time and ideally hold an understanding of lean and methods such as Kanban. They must also hold experience of continuous improvement techniques. The candidate must be an excellent communicator with the ability to work well with team members, product owners, project managers, and be a exemplary representative to the business.
